Parking

There are a few metered spots directly in front of the building which are free from 5pm - 2am. In addition, to the North around the corner on Iowa Avenue there is a large parking garage. A second parking garage is available to the Southeast, kitty-corner to the building on Washington street.

Smoking

The City of Iowa City still allows smoking in public buildings, so you are more than welcome to smoke anywhere and everywhere at the Picador. On occasion, however, artists will request that their show be non-smoking, and in that case we will honor the artist's request. But not to worry, there is still a bar downstairs and a beer garden out back available as an alternative smoking areas for those over 21.
